My OB checked my cervix for the first time today and said I was only a fingertip dilated (0.5cm). I thought I'd be further along by now since I see a lot of….I think I was like 1-2 cm dilated and like 80% effaced starting at 34 almost 35 weeks. The day I went into labor I got at the hospital and was 5 cm dilated and my contractions still weren't that bad so I have no idea how much dilation happened between that 35 weeks and the start of labor at 39 weeks. It did still take 19 hours of labor to have the baby.With my first I was only 1cm dilated at 37 weeks and stayed at 1 until my induction at 39 W 2 D. This time I was 3 CM dilated 60% effaced -2 station at 34 weeks. At 35 weeks (this week) I am 3CM, 75% -1 station.Keep moving.
