The big differences between the Bobwhite and Sharptail are the Bobwhite is straight stock, splinter forend, and double triggers whereas the Sharptail is pistol grip, semi-beavertail forend and single selective trigger. Being as you've likely been shooting guns more closely resembling the Sharptail, that might be more suitable for your tastes.

Shot #8 birdshot at 15 steps with both barrels. Tiny bit, but good pattern. Left barrel with IM choke - Shot #6 1.25 ounce Prairie Storm at 20 steps.
