If the car is running, it could be driven off without the fob nearby (although a message would appear saying the "key not present". However, once the car is turned off, it can not be restarted if the fob is not present.Dash button does not work if the gate is locked. Unlock all doors and it will open. If you press the fob and hold the button it will open. if you press the fob button twice it will stop. you will have to close it back and open it again.
