1 year ago. I've had a similar issue. We have a new TV attached to the box (Samsung). I can't pause I get "Pause isn't available. This set-top box doesn't support it. Without Pause - I can't fast forward. I also can no longer rewind (I get the same error). This used to work just fine.

We replaced the cable box once again. In troublshooting I noticed that if you go to the xfinity button, devices, video, there is an icon that shows what kind of TV the xfinity box sees. If it says Samsung TV everything works, when it says unrecognized you either get perfect picture and NO sound, or a 640x480 size picture with sound.Turn off the TV’s power and unplug it first.
