Like Richard said, the 30aw is basically a 336 with different furniture and some exterior hardware. Internally they are identical. In regards to front sight on a 30A (S), going to a 3/8 wide dovetail is a perfect fit to the barrel compared to the too wide 1/2" dovetail stock one.
