FIXED: that’s a great suggestion! I found it in the owners manual and tried the procedure. Unfortunately i didn’t find that anything changed. After disconnecting the power and reconnecting i found that it eventually stopped giving that same issue and was able to shift gears! 2021 GMC Acadia AT4.

At 55,000+ miles it cost me $373 for a new switch, cable and labor to fix it. The 2021 Slt Acadia has buttons for gear selection rather than a shift lever. The dealer was quit await of the problem which makes me think that GMC should pay for the repair. Do a search here on the forum for "Shift To Park".
