The last one we borrowed from my good ...The XL does shoot very nicely but XC does shoot noticeably better. I own a CZ TSO and TS2 and a Staccato C2 with a ported barrel/slide. They all shoot very nicely but I would spend a little extra on the XC especially when compared to higher end 2011's like the Atlas' or the NH Sandhawk. XC is the way. So smooth.The DLC barrel XL is $3,700. The 5" DS9 Hybrid comes with DLC barrels standard (for certain color combinations) and is like $3,100. I don't own an XL, but do own a C2 and a CS and to me, the fit and finish and build quality on the DS9 is a step above. I actually think of the DS9 as a half-priced Atlas. The P has a heavier recoil spring so the slide isn't buttery like the XC, but still smooth. I'm going to go with the XC again just based on my past experience with it. Unabashedly in part due to aesthetics as well.Steel vs aluminum, I just have the C2s, and use them for carry and training. They have just slightly more muzzle flip than the steel Staccato P. If this is a carry gun, I would vote for Aluminum. If for range and training, I would choose the Staccato P steel frame. The DLC coating on the barrel is more cosmetic.
