For a much more material-efficient method, just use 4 medium generators. 9 u/s of power times 4 is 36, compared to the 30 u/s needed. That's only 4 carbon, 3 if you use 3 QT-RTG's or another method able to provide 3 u/s of power for the required time (medium battery works nicely). Throw it all on a large silo on a rover and you're golden.
