I have a 2003 Sportsman 600 and I recently rebuilt the carburetor. The float needle was fairly worn and the pilot screw/needle looked like someone tried tightening it too hard and it had a nice step in it – replaced those. I also replaced the pilot jet since it was cheap. After giving the carb a good cleaning I reassembled everything.
