When I got my order, the guy knocked on my door and said he had an issue with my order that he needed to pay for an item out of pocket. I was flustered and didn't really know what to say, so I just handed him a bit of cash to pay for the item. It's normal. Most gig apps do it now. They need to verify you are who you say you are, and that someone else isn't using your account. You'll be asked to do this randomly. You have to do it periodically. The shopper picked out our items suspiciously quickly, and added 10x quantities to expensive items, adding on over $100 to the order. In the chat, he said his app glitched but he spoke to customer service and it was all good.
