Built in 1984, the current home of Leander HS is the district's oldest comprehensive high school facility. The school has been added on to nine different times over the facility's four-decade history, most recently with the Science Flex Labs and Front Office additions in 2014-15.
Leander ISD's TransFinder's InfoFinder i software allows LISD parents to get information on their students' bus stop locations and times by simply entering their street address and the student's grade level. In Leander ISD, families living closer than 2 miles from their assigned school are in the "Not Eligible for Transportation Zone," or NETZone.All student absences must be substantiated in writing with a parent signature, OR communicated through email to the attendance email ( [email protected]) and the school nurse ([email protected]). The Registrar must receive written documentation accounting for a student's absence within 2 days of a student's return to school.In Leander ISD's system, everyone works hard to communicate needs and changes. When changes occur, routes must be revised and time changes communicated to all parents. Should transportation be determined to be a related service by the ARD Committee, please plan to transport your child to and from school the first three (3) days following the ARD.Leander ISD has revised the food service schedule for Tuesday, March 24: Please be aware that on Tuesday only: From 7:30 a.m. - 9 a.m., we will be offering breakfast. From 11:30 a.m - 1:30 p.m., lunch and the following morning's breakfast will be available. Starting Wednesday, March 25, Leander ISD will offer hot meals once a day.
