Hey guys , just wanted to share my experiences with Lenovo in Slovakia. I´ve bought legion 7i almost on launch , didn´t have any clue about their hinge issues . When i found out about it , i just took care opening it , and hoped to be fine . Later , i started to hear some light cracks when opening the machine , so i started to be concerned.

I have read various articles and seen quite a few videos about hinge issues in previous legion laptops. I think Legion 7i had a few problems and apparently Lenovo has addressed the issue by upgrading the hinge design on newer laptops. Has anyone faced similar issue/s? 2020. I have a 2021 Legion 7i now but I did have a 2020 Legion 7i and it did have a hinge failure. The new ones are fine. The 2021 L7 series has the improved hinge design that fixed the previous weak hinge problem. Unless you have the 2020 model, otherwise, your L7 shouldn't have the hinge issue. I've heard before that Lenovo quality control is not working properly and the hinges of many Legion laptops have problems This is true, but they did redesign the hinge for 2021 models which do not have any issues so far. The 2020 models could break easily (especially Legion 7)

They repair it by gluing it in again and so the problem isn't really fixed properly and the breakage can occur again.
