An ACE exam is an Acceptable Clinic Evidence exam, sometimes called a records review. If you already had all your C&P exams it's probable that the VA had some issue with one or more of them and sent them back for further development / clarification. I've personally seen it happen when the examiner didn't clearly opine on service connection.
