I was trying .22 long cb caps, so I figured the odd ammo caused the problem. I cycled the cartridge out, it ejected fine, with the bullet intact.

The 39 firing pin has a forward stop leg that limits the amount of firing pin protrusion. New FP's normaly need the face of this "leg" to be faced off for a proper fit. A perfectly fit FP will be as such. With the bolt out of the gun, the rear of the pin will sit flush with the hammer cut recess.Easy fix. Break down the receiver, pull the bolt and the firing pin is in plain view laying in a groove along the top of the bolt. Remove the old broken firing pin, clean the groove and put in a bit of lube.
