Medicant isn't a bad inclination and it's recommend on every Mage (I would recommend it as secondary). Pioneer isn't a bad inclination either and can be actually useful in clearing out easier mobs ahead of you. Guardian, Acquisitor and Nexus are useless in most situations and should never be used by newer players as it'll crap out the pawn's AI. Go to the encampment and buy the potions you need from Jonathan. Apply the ones you want in the reverse order you want them to appear in the pawn's profile as the last stimuli to the pawn's AI is the one that is the last one remembered. PSN/GT: Karathrax. No matter what inclination you have there is no true tank class and enemies will continue to just thrash about attacking anything willy nilly. Shield Drum is supposed to attract monsters to the pawn if they use it, but it never works and ultimately just ends up wasting your time and your pawns time when they'd be better off attacking.

Comestion or Miasma - This is usually for groups of smaller "trash" enemies. Quick cast AoE. Comestion is better off un-upgraded imo, but High Comestion still casts pretty fast. Miasma is great vs slow moving/larger enemies, and can inflict Poison. Try both and see which one you like better.
