You don't get charged any additional fee's unless you decide to pay for a premium membership to a specific gym. Outside of that you only ever pay the $25/$29 a month (25$ for active fit direct and $29 for active fit now) I don’t think I have been charged any fees- just the 25/mo. I was also wanting to sign up on Jan. 1st.
