When I do change it all I do is pull the drain plug, clean it and reinstall it hand tight, open the chain adjuster cover, and pour in a full quart of Amsoil 10-40.

I just changed the oil and used 20/50 royal purple. The owner's manual says oil capacity is 3.5 quarts so that is what I put in.
