Espinas LBG. Elemental pierce is awesome, but unless you are running with as much damage skills as possible, you'll run out of ammo on most hunts. And it's so squishy because it requires the health drain skills. That being said, I can kill both crabs with Astalos LBG in under 2 minutes.
I mean for endgame (like after you beat fatalis), it's: Head-Rimeguard Y. Body- Dragonhide B. Arms- Dragonclaws B. Hip- DragonBarb A. Legs- Dragonfeet B. Charm-Challenger charm V. This is if you are using the boltshot for pierce 2, Fatalis depths for pierce 2 Rapid fire (it hits hella hard), or aquashot for pierce 3. Same build.(Even fatty's LBG for spread 2 only manage to *Slighty* outperform Frostshot's Single Spread 2 and still loses to Blizzard Gust's spread 3) For rapid fire pierce, until Fatty's LBG came, it was outperformed by good single target pierce. Even with Fatalis, it still has problems.
