Saturday, 1/27/24, was one of the most perfect days, condition wise on the lower Susquehanna. Just enough steady current to keep the boat positioned. No strong winds against the current that is typically what I deal with up there. No white caps. Trolling speed is everything. There's a big difference in lure depth between 2.5 and 3.5 MPH. This difference is amplified by using heavier rigs. 3. You have to put out more line on the boat rods than the board rods to get the same depth. Aug 18, 2007 · About 15 mins after the first coat, load up and do it again. A third coat wouldn't hurt, and by now, you should be at least to factory thickness. Fill a pump spray bottle with PVA mold release and mist the entire job, and leave it for 8 hours. The release helps the gelcoat to cure fully. Here my experence from twenty five years of fishing of fishing from a boat. If the lead breaks - you lose the fish. Pure lead is also more dense then alloy. You would be amazed if you took a small scale and weighed various 8 oz sinkers. Ones made with alloy might only go 6 ozs. Pure lead also pours better and melts at a lower temperature.
