I think if you don’t do this then the Switch will try to scan from the real controller and ignore the emulator’s amiibo. Raspberry Pi 3 worked for me.It used to be called Amiiqo - it's fine . But to be honest it would be cheaper to buy a bunch of nfc and make the ones you want since you need a nfc enabled android phone for either. The down side to n2/amiiqo is that you need to press the button and scan to change the amiibo in storage .. or write it again each time.

Hey guys, I'm trying to emulate an NTAG215 (Amiibo) card with Arduino and a PN532. I am not looking to write the original to a physical NFC tag, but rather to be able to select the tag (character) I am trying to emulate and use the Arduino to broadcast as if it were a regular tag. The point is to only need the device and no extra NFC tags.
