The sound bar is connected through the hdmi cable that came with the Bose 900. I’m not sure what the specs are on that. You are correct that the tv is mute for 3 seconds while the video plays. The apps I’m using for atmos are capable of the format. Netflix shows 5.1 and Atmos as available options.
