1999 Dodge Cummins - No wait to start light. Replaced the intake heater. Intake heater solenoids. Would work for for a day and stop. Changed the temperature sensor and nothing. Disconnected the solenoid wire from the battery and reconnected it. Worked for 3 days then stopped when I replaced the battery terminals. Tested the wires.The only way I can get it to start is by planting a 100W light bulb on the air intake heater housing for 1-2 hours. Obviously , the electric air intake heater is not working (despite the "glow plug" light on the dash lighting up for 10 seconds, which it does). The housing does NOT heat up. I've replaced the ($155! from a JD dealer) control module.

The remote start is disabled any time the check engine light is on. I deleted mine and two days later, I had a Check engine light. It was for the air intake heater, so I erased the code, installed a load resistor and yet have the CEL come back on.The heater relay is located on the driver side of the engine on top of the intake manifold.
