These controls are the old cable driven type, where control cables went from the control box all the way to the hydraulic valve. Included in the control box is the switch to engage the electro-hydro unit. I do not need the cable, just the controls. Remove the power wire from the plow motor. The controller is sensing a high amp draw and is shutting off as a result. Start by removing the heaviest amp draw first. My guess is the motor seized over the summer. If not the motor work your way back through each connection.

No power on the red/green wire at the plugin for the handheld controller in the truck. Also check the light harness connection at the plow. The iirc 9 or 11 pin connector you plug from the truck to the plow. If that one is not plugged in/losing connection you will get the same symptoms as you are describing. Maybe a loose terminal or its getting wet. Im confident that big red power supply has nothing to do with your controller and if you left that unplugged everything else would power up. pats plowing. the fix jumper wire is to prevent the controller wire (thru firewall) from pulling away from the white plastic connector. it is the ignition wire that is being pulled out of the connector especially without the jumper wire as you move the controller it pulls just enough to power off (so i was told).
