Check out AnKing's basic tutorial on anki on youtube and I think that should give you all that you need to know! I did miledown in a month and did exactly that, 100 new cards a day. It's doable, but definitely devote a few hours a day to it. At it's peak, I think I did around 700-800 cards (reviews) in one day. It's not like that everyday though.
