The AR-50 is a very nice rifle for single shot .50 bmg. The recoil is very mild & it is quite accurate. The downside is huge & heavy with a massive blast out of the muzzle brake. Excellent for someone with a truck that has a long bed and can haul it to the range and back.

Mine uses a Std AR 15 small format lower. As one would think that it is too weak to withstand the 50 BMG in aactuality there is not much stress on the 2 pins on the lower. The Upper is a one piece 4140 chrome moly piece. This one uses a Std AR15 lower. You plug the mag well and remove the buffer and spring.
