The thing about the Sportsman 48 compared to my Auto-5 is that the Remington buttstock end is dimensionally smaller than the Browning (both are 12 ga.). I got one of those "universal fit" lace-up pads and it looked real nice but it was way to small w/o making a major modification so I just returned it.
