Dec 9, 2015 · PT940 is a good gun. There is one small issue that you should be aware of. On the right side of the gun just above the grip is the trigger bar. On top of the trigger bar rides the trigger bar spring in a narrow grove. The spring is very thin and can pop out of the grove causing the gun to be a "Single Shot" pistol. Although I would have preferred the all Blue or Stainless version (I have the 'ghetto gold'), I got this one for a song and a dance. I traded my MINT condition PT145 for it and I was only into the PT145 for $280.Taurus "Millenium"-series autos are made of plastic and do, indeed, seem to be pretty crappy. The "Millenium"-series, however, has about as much in common with other Taurus autos as the Colt AA2000 does with the 1911. PT-945 is a fine gun and a good "Poor Man's P-220". "Finest Pistol In The World", however, it most certainly is not. _____

Machining is excellent, all surfaces/rails/slide are smooth. I removed the firing pin and safety plunger, cleaned everything up, did a light lube.
